Air Blast / Adiabatic Coolers

ICS Air Blast Fluid Coolers

ICS have a wide range of air blast coolers including: Compact Fully Packaged, Flat Bed & ‘V’ Block Fluid Coolers for Industrial Applications

Applications that these systems are suitable for include:Induction Furnaces, High Frequency Generators, Quench Cooling,Welding Equipment, Compressor Cooling, Electronic Enclosures, Hydraulic Oil Cooling, General Industrial Cooling

The advantages of an ICS Closed Circuit Air Blast Fluid Cooler:

A reliable supply of uncontaminated cooling fluid is of major importance to many manufacturing processes. Rising water charges and increasing environmental pressures affect both production costs and efficiency…..closed circuit cooling is the only answer.

ICS through their sister company Tricool Thermal have designed and supplied closed circuit cooling equipment to industry in the UK and overseas since from the onset of business and the customised range of air blast fluid coolers are economic, efficient and assure the integrity of the water supply

Fully Packaged Air Blast Fluid Coolers

ICS' standard range of Air Blast Coolers feature non-ferrous water system as standard, however, can be provided with alternative materials to meet specific process requirements.

The benefits of these units are: Clean corrosion-free process fluid, Low operating costs, No evaporation loss, Anti-freeze facility for external units, No water treatment costs, No chemical dosing, Low maintenance costs.

To customise this range to suite your exact specification the following options are available:

* Split Coils
* Automatic Mains Fill for Internal Units
* Remote Stop/Start Facility
* Level Switch
* Flow Switch
* Pressure Switch
* Air Inlet Filters
* Variable Speed Fans
* High Pressure Pump

Flat Bed Air Blast Fluid Coolers

ICS' Flat Bed Air Blast Fluid Coolers are designed around a well-proven format which is customised to satisfy specific customer requirements and is primarily for external location using an anti-freeze/water solution for frost protection.

These units feature:

• 15.0 – 600.0kW Cooling Capacity with standard format
• Low silhouette for roof mounting
• Low noise level fans (energy-saving individual thermostat control available)
• Robust weather-resistant construction
• High level of heat recovery when sited internally
• Open & fully closed circuit designs
• Available as separate cooling unit or as part of complete system
• Designed to compliment Tricool Thermal Pumping Sets when remotely sited (see companion product below)

‘V’ Block Air Blast Fluid Coolers

ICS ‘V’ Block Air Blast Fluid Coolers are designed around a well-proven format which is customised to satisfy specific customer requirements and is primarily for external location using an anti-freeze/water solution for frost protection.

These units feature:

• 15.0 – 1,500.0kW Cooling Capacity with standard format
• Dual condenser in a ‘V’ configuration allowing 50% available cooling even if one condenser coil block requires repair/replacement
• Low noise level fans (energy-saving individual thermostat control available)
• Robust weather-resistant construction
• High level of heat recovery when sited internally
• Open & fully closed circuit designs
• Available as separate cooling unit or as part of complete system
• Designed to compliment Tricool Thermal Pumping Sets when remotely sited (see companion product below)

As with the flat bed air blast fluid coolers the added benefit of these units is complete flexibility in siting and the backing of ICS Cool Energy Ltd. turn-key installation package.

Flat Bed & ‘V’ Block Air Blast Fluid Cooler

Available Options:

* Remote Stop/Start Facility
* Flow Switch
* Pressure Switch
* Air Inlet Filters
* Variable Speed Fans
* Adiabatic Spray System (for reduced process fluid supply temperatures)

Technical Data

ICS' Fully Packaged Air Blast Fluid Coolers are constructed to the following standard specification, however, completely bespoke units with alternative materials of construction can be designed & manufactured to suit the environmental conditions and customer requirements. Such units are manufactured by our sister company Tricool Thermal, please click here for more details.

• Designed for indoor or outdoor siting, stand-alone or built into OEM assembly, split system or fully packaged. Full diagnostics as standard.

Pumps: Stainless steel centrifugal pumps are used throughout the range. Flow and pressures can be varied to suit customer’s requirements.

• Fans: High efficiency axial flow fans. Low noise is used where feasible

Heat Exchangers: Copper tube with aluminum fin matrix. Selected to provide optimum heat transfer capability, efficient cooling and low pressure drop.

• Water System: Temperature and pressure gauges fitted as standard. Overflow, manual/automatic fill and BSP Female connections for flow and return cons up to and including 2” and PN16 Flanged connections for flow and return cons above.

Electrical Control System: The IP55 electrical enclosure forms part of the Fully Packaged Air Blast Fluid Cooler & contains all necessary starters, control gear including ru/fault status lights, temperature displays and the stop/start push buttons. Normally all units require a 400v-3ph-50Hz + E electrical supply, however, 230v-1ph-50Hz + E units available upon request. Remote control panels are offered as an alternative and will incorporate individual fan isolators at the unit.

• Enclosure: Light zintec/galvanised steel. Welded main framework. Flush panels fitted with stainless steel screws. Powder coated finish, standard colour RAL 5010, blue (other colours and types of paint available at extra cost)
